Vanessa Gonzalez
Graphic Design Intern

Vanessa is currently in pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design at the International Academy of Design & Technology. With less than a year until graduation, Vanessa is incredibly proud of this milestone as she will be the first in her family to finish college.

Vanessa considers herself a very independent and outgoing person. She is a single mother to a beautiful little girl. She loves photography and design that are both controversial and have actual meaning. Every Saturday for the past three months, Vanessa and her daughter go to the library together. While her daughter cannot read yet, she will know how soon enough!

Caroline Hamblett
Summer Program Intern

Caroline is currently pursuing her degree in Elementary Education at DePaul University. She is excited about her studies and work in the Chicago Public School system and looks forward to graduating in June 2011. Caroline moved to Chicago from San Francisco for school and is having an amazing time discovering everything that Chicago has to offer. In her free time she enjoys traveling to both new and familiar places, watching live music of any genre, taking advantage of nice weather and relaxing in the company of family and friends. Caroline is very enthusiastic about joining WITS this summer and being a part of such a powerful organization.

Dana Hildebrandt
Summer Intern

Dana recently finished her freshman year at the University of Missouri - Columbia.  She plans to major in Elementary Education and her goal is to become a teacher in an inner-city school, preferably in Chicago.  She loves working with kids and is really excited to be a part of the work that WITS does.  In her free time she likes to volunteer, play tennis and spend time with her family and friends.  Dana considers herself to be very understanding and reliable and is looking forward to working with the WITS staff!

Elizabeth Peoples
Summer Intern

Elizabeth recently completed her sophomore year at Northwestern University where she is studying English Literature. She hopes to learn more about the functioning of nonprofit organizations while simultaneously promoting a love of reading and learning. She is very excited to be working with WITS and helping to advance the organization's goals.

Lindsay Sonenthal
Summer Intern

Lindsay is currently a sophomore studying Sociology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  She hails from the Chicago suburb of Highland Park where she has lived most of her life.  In her free time she likes to run and listen to music.  Lindsay is very excited to be working with WITS this summer!
